He aprendido mucha información en cuatro días. Casi diarios, dos de mis profesores dan por lo menos cuatro paginas para la tarea. No los califican, él están solamente para que la práctica construya la información para el examen final. Ojala, antes de que me vaya por lo menos podré leer, escribir y hablar a español.

The day that we were leaving to Spain was very hectic. I was rushing so much because I needed to do some last minute things. Anyways, everything went O.K.. I finally made it to the airport at the scheduled time. When we finally got in, and checked our luggage, my friend had to give others her stuff because her bag was over 50 lbs. When we got on the plane, I was so scared because the plane somehow gives me the creeps. But I kept my cools and remained to being a big girl. When we arrived in Philadelphia, it seems like at that point everything was crazy. First we wanted to go into the city and the bus fare was $5.00 each way, so that was cancelled. Then we was going to get in a cab but couldn´t get that plan together. Finally, after all of our plans failed we called it quits. When we were going through security they stopped us because of a glass ball that Erica had as her gift. They told us that she couldn´t bring it through. So we headed downstairs, to the reception area to check it and we had more problems. They told us that she couldn´t it without a bag. Well thank God that this very nice lady was on staff. She made sure that her gift was sure to go with us. After all, we had just enough time to rest and find us some food before our plane departure.

After the excursions information meeting today, I was slighty upset. Somebody told me that most of the excursions were filled. So I walked over to the building and it was closed. As of yet I haven´t had the chance to go again because of all of this homework. Most of my time is spent in San Boal Room 10 where the computers for the students are. So maybe on Monday, I will go back to see what really going on. Until then, I guess I´ll explore as much as I can here in Salamanca.

When I was at home, I couldn´t wait to get to Spain. Now that I am here, I can´t wait to get home. Reason being is, that my legs are so broke down from all of this walking. Although, I don´t have far to walk, there are so many hills in between the school and my house. So I made this bench along the way home my new friend. I normally stop there to catch my breath and re cooperate. Normally I sit about five minutes or so.Then I walk the rest of the way home. While I´m there, I see a lot of things that I would have missed if I just go straight there. So from now on, I will continue to sit the five minutes to rest and sight see.

One day this week, I almost lost my mind. Somehow while changing my batteries, I almost lost my pictures. This is really my first time really using it. I´m glad that I brought the instruction book with me. Otherwise, I would be very upset. Somehow, I played around with the camera and the pictures were back. So from now on, I know not to take my memory card out while changing the batteries. Well, I gotta go now, so I can read the manual some more, so that I can take more pictures.

Today I´m trying to prepare myself for a long day tomorrow. I´m going to Pamplona to see the running of the bulls. Í am so behind with completing my blogs, that´s it´s a shame. After school today, I met with my friends to set a meeting place for our departure tonight. Then, I went home to eat lunch and have a conversation with my host family mother. She has been so nice to me from the very beginning. After lunch, I went to the building that has computers for the students. In this room, it is so hot it´s unbelievable. But at this time, it´s the only place where I can get the job done.

I am having so many problems with the blogger. I've tried so many times to post my blogs and somehow it still don't seem to work for me. I had the same problems in Chicago with my past homework and now the problem still exists. But now that I'm in Salamaca, it really matters to me. Reason being is that I can't post any blogs and to my teachers it will seem like I haven't been working. This is an attempt to see if everything is alright. Marta has been trying to help me with being a member but, I don't know what's the problem.

SHELLEY BLOGS FROM SPAIN

At 4oo PM here today (900 AM Chicago time) I called my bank again. I was connected with a helpful operator named Brenda. She's from the East coast somewhere. She gave me step by step instructions on how to withdraw money from my account. Otherwise, I would have not had any money. After all, the problem was that instead of withdrawing from my checking account, I was suppose to have had withdrawn from savings. This process i still don' t understand but at this point as long as I have Euros, I'm happy. So from now on, if I need more Euros I know what to do. Also, before I disconnect the line with Brenda, I told her that I hope that this call was recorded for quality assurance because people like her should get a raise or something.

Today my experiences were not so good. I'm having trouble getting money (euros) from the bank. I tried my ATM card twice and both times it was declined. So, therefore at this time, you can understand my pain. But while here, in Salamanca, my friend Erica helped me in every way she could. She has a cellphone and a phone card and hopefully I can change this matter. I will call my bank in Chicago later today because of the time difference. But regardless of what, I'm going to try to make the best of my time, until I get my hands on some money.
